Memories
A visual diary: a timeline of photos and short entries, built for looking back with some distance instead of posting in the moment.

Social media is built for the moment: post it now, while it's happening. I wanted the opposite, a place to collect the photos and notes from a day and come back to them later, when there's room to think about what they meant.
The current prototype is a memory timeline that loads my own data and lays it out chronologically. Open questions I'm still working through:
- Why not just a diary, or a private Instagram? Pulling from the places photos already live (with real API connections) and having time for contemplation are the bets.
- Privacy and storage: it's the most personal data I have, so it can't be a public page. It needs real authentication, and arguably encryption I control.
- Inheritance: a long-horizon idea that a lifetime of memories could become something passed down, like a photo album that keeps growing.
Personal tools behind auth
This, the PTO planner, and the finance dashboard share a problem: they're only useful with my real data, so they need to be reachable from anywhere and locked to me. That's the next piece of infrastructure I want to build for this site's spokes.
